Product Imagery & Representation Policy

At ORVELLA, we take accuracy seriously. This policy explains how ORVELLA presents products across our website, marketing, and social channels, and what customers should reasonably expect when purchasing from ORVELLA.

This policy applies to purchases made directly via the ORVELLA website - https://orvella.co.uk/


Our commitment to fair and accurate representation

ORVELLA aims to represent every product clearly, honestly, and consistently. We use a combination of:

  • Studio photography
  • Lifestyle photography
  • Product videos
  • Close-up detail shots
  • (Where stated) digital mockups, renders, or virtual model imagery for illustrative purposes

ORVELLA does not intentionally misrepresent products or create a misleading overall impression.


Colour accuracy, lighting & screen differences

ORVELLA photographs products under professional lighting to show colour as accurately as possible. However, colours may appear different due to:

  • Lighting conditions during shooting
  • Post-production editing for consistency
  • Your device settings (brightness, True Tone/night mode, colour calibration)
  • Minor batch-to-batch variation in fabric dye (common in apparel production)

Important: Minor variation is not necessarily a fault. If you require exact colour confirmation before ordering, contact ORVELLA and we will do our best to provide additional guidance or images.


Fabric texture, finish & material appearance

Fabric texture, sheen, and depth can look different on screen than in person. Close-up photos are provided to help, but the true appearance may vary depending on lighting and display settings.


Product variation & manufacturing tolerances

Apparel production can include minor variation. ORVELLA products may show small differences between runs, such as:

  • Slight tone variation between production batches
  • Minor trim/hardware adjustments where supplier availability requires
  • Slight internal print/label placement differences
  • Minor measurement tolerances typical of garment manufacturing

These differences will not be used to reduce the product’s overall quality. If a change is material (meaning it could reasonably affect a purchase decision), ORVELLA will update the product description or imagery as appropriate.


What is included with your order (styling, props & accessories)

Product imagery may include styling elements such as:

  • Shoes, trousers, jewellery, bags
  • Background props and sets
  • Layered outfits or accessories

Unless explicitly stated on the product page, these items are not included. The purchase includes only the item(s) listed on the product page and shown in your checkout/order confirmation.


Fit, sizing & model representation

Fit varies by body shape, height, and proportions. ORVELLA may provide:

  • Size guides and measurement charts
  • Fit notes (e.g., “true to size” / “oversized fit”)
  • Model reference details where available (e.g., model height and size worn)

ORVELLA recommends using the size guide and fit notes as your primary reference. If you want a recommendation, contact us before ordering.


Editing, retouching & presentation standards

ORVELLA may edit imagery for:

·       Colour balancing and consistent lighting

·       Cropping and background cleanup

·       Removing dust or minor studio imperfections

·       Improving clarity to show product details accurately

ORVELLA does not intentionally edit imagery in a way that materially changes:

·       The product silhouette/shape

·       Construction and structure

·       Logo placement or print placement

·       Core colour or overall finish (beyond reasonable colour correction)


Digital mockups, renders & virtual model imagery

In some cases, ORVELLA may use:

·       Digital mockups

·       Renders

·       Virtual model imagery

This is used to illustrate styling, fit context, or campaign concepts.

How ORVELLA handles disclosure

·       Where an image is illustrative (not a real photograph of the physical item), ORVELLA may label it with wording such as:
“Illustrative image”, “Digital render”, or “Model imagery is digitally generated for illustrative purposes.”

·       ORVELLA will not rely on a disclaimer to “fix” an image that creates a misleading overall impression.

Important: Product details, specifications, and written descriptions on the product page describe the item you will receive.


Inside-neck quotes & print placement

ORVELLA products may include a motivational quote inside the neck. Placement is designed to be consistent, however minor placement variation can occur due to production and garment construction.

If inside-neck printing is included for a product, it will be represented through product descriptions and/or detail imagery where possible.


Availability representation (limited releases / sold out)

If ORVELLA refers to limited stock, limited releases, or “sold out” status, ORVELLA aims to display this accurately based on available inventory. ORVELLA does not intentionally create false scarcity.


User-generated content (UGC) & reposted imagery

ORVELLA may share customer photos/reviews (UGC) on the website or social channels with permission or where platform rules allow. UGC reflects individual lighting, styling, and fit. It is shared for inspiration and does not replace the official product description.


Errors, updates & corrections

Despite strict checks, mistakes can happen (for example, an outdated photo, an incorrect colour name, or a mislabelled image). ORVELLA reserves the right to correct errors and update imagery or descriptions at any time.

If you believe a product page contains a material error, contact ORVELLA with:

  • Order number (if applicable)
  • Product name
  • A screenshot or link to the issue

If your item differs from what was represented

If you believe the product received materially differs from what was represented on the product page at the time of purchase, contact ORVELLA as soon as possible with:

·       Your order number

·       Clear photos/video evidence

·       A description of the issue

ORVELLA will review and respond appropriately in line with UK consumer law and our Return & Refund Policy.

For items that are faulty, damaged, or incorrect, ORVELLA asks customers to contact us within 48 hours of delivery with evidence, so we can resolve the matter promptly.
